Robert #Kuśmirowski 1939-2009, art show at the #Polnisches Institut, Berlin.
Visitors are directly confronted with (real or perfectly faked) documents and items related to World War II, german concentration camps and the dark atmosphere of the time.
It was particularly impressive to me to look to the hair amounts (remenbering Auschwitz) and to the huge (and so terrifingly modern…) Birkenau Camp map.
Re-interpreting and recycling the dificult polish-german past in a visually strong way, Robert Kuśmirowski gives here a very personal contribution for a better understanding of recent history.
With shows like this one the “polniches Institut” is doing a great job.
